Daughter of Cascade, Huell Melon and Hallertau Blanc, Mandarina Bavaria was bred in Hüll at the Hop Breeding Institute and released to the public in 2012. The aim was to create a unique and boldly-flavored hop. With its distinctive and clean tangerine flavor, it’s fair to say the goal was achieved! While Mandarina Bavaria hops are naturally very good in pale ales and fruity IPAs, they also work wonderfully in saisons, wheats and pilsners.

Typical Aroma Profile
Mandarina Bavaria’s aroma is dominated by tangerine and orange with some black and red currant. It also has hints of rosemary and gooseberry notes.
*Alpha acids are determined by conductometric titration (EBC 7.4) in Europe, by spectrophotometry (ASBC Hops-6) in the USA. Oil composition is determined by gas chromatography (ASBC Hops-17, EBC 7.12).
