BarthHaas at Braukunst LIVE!

We have just enjoyed two marvelous days full of inspirational beer creations from Bavaria, Germany and the rest of the world. On January 31 and February 2, BarthHaas once again headlined as a premium partner at the Braukunst LIVE! festival in the MVG Museum in Munich. This event is one of Europe’s largest craft-beer festivals, highlighting the latest trends, developments and, of course, tasting sessions, from the international beer scene in a celebration of high quality brewing.

Some 80 exhibitors attended Braukunst LIVE! this year and talked shop with the BarthHaas Brewing Solutions Team, discussing products and developments in the beer world. BarthHaas set up an exclusive exhibitors’ green room, where they could refuel on coffee, snacks, fruit, our Hopinade and a modern Altbier made with Provoak®. The BarthHaas Cornhole competition and a foosball tournament ensured the beer experts could relax in a fun atmosphere.

This year, BarthHaas and the event organizer Meininger Verlag held a Festival Brew for the first time. The challenge laid down to exhibitors was to create a special brew using the BarthHaas Fantasia product, a hop composition with notes of apricot and a hint of cream and caramel. After a presentation to the press, the winner was announced directly at Braukunst LIVE! The victory was awarded to the Schwarze Rose Craft Beer brewery from Mainz, for their Double Dry Hopped Sour IPA “El Sourado”.
