Typical Aroma Profile
The East Kent Goldings is known for the rather subtle expression of its flavour characteristics. This variety is mainly used for hopping traditional ales. It offers marjoram, cardamom and woodruff aromas that come to the fore, producing a woodyspicy flavour, combined with tangy citrus notes. In addition cream-caramel aromas of gingerbread and spiced biscuits combine with vegetal nuances of artichoke create an appealing flavour.
