BARTH-HAAS GROUP at drinktec 2017 Tastings, HOPSESSED and cassava beer
Nuremberg, 24 July 2017. drinktec 2017 is the premiere for the new BARTH-HAAS GROUP exhibition stand. But not only the stand is new; there are also several new offerings for the visitors. For example, there will be a new tasting bar offering a direct comparison of two different beers. “See for yourself what differences in flavour you can identify and sharpen your senses”, says Marketing Manager Thomas Raiser commenting on the new tasting bar. The HOPSESSED tasting scheme developed by BARTH-HAAS and consisting of twelve aroma categories is designed to help people agree on a common language for describing the various hop aromas. Visitors can try out the HOPSESSED tasting scheme for themselves on different product samples and beers. The BARTH-HAAS GROUP will for the first time be presenting a cassava beer developed jointly with Novozymes. The cassava plant is widely grown in Africa in particular. “We are strongly committed to sustainability. We therefore believe that every effort should be made to use locally available raw materials in brewing.” (Dr. Elisabeth Wiesen, Technical Manager and member of the Sustainability Team). Advanced Products from the BARTH-HAAS GROUP make it even easier to alter the flavour of beers in the desired direction. At a special bar, visitors will be able to experience for themselves how the flavour of beers can be changed by adding these products. In room B12 (a few steps away from our stand), the hop experts from our technical department will be organising tastings of several beers brewed specially for drinktec. “In recent years our visitors have been repeatedly astonished by the variety of flavours in the beers – this will also be the case in 2017.” (Dr. Christina Schönberger, Technical Manager). Visitors can register online at www.barthhaasgroup.com/de/hops-academy#termine. The BARTH-HAAS GROUP, the leading provider of hops-related services worldwide, will be presenting its entire range of services at drinktec 2017. Representatives of the individual group member companies from the USA, Australia, the UK and Germany will, of course, be on hand to answer any questions regarding that wonderful natural product, the hop. Whatever the brewery – from craft brewer to multinational group – our group can provide a solution to any of its needs in connection with hops.
