BarthHaas

Pahto™

United States

DESCRIPTION

Pahto™ is a super high alpha variety that was developed for hot side and early kettle additions to efficiently deliver bitterness to beer. The mother of Pahto is an HBC breeding line with similar characteristics. These valuable characteristics come to the mother by way of her father who is a fine “English gentleman” from the breeding program at Wye College in Kent, England. When used as a bittering addition hop, Pahto™ provides a very neutral flavour to beer, and a pleasant bitterness. The aroma profile of the hop cone is described as herbal, earthy, woody, and resinous with some fruit.

We live quality

The highest standards for the best hops: we are satisfied with nothing less. Because hops are one of the most important ingredients in the brewing process. To meet this demand, BarthHaas has introduced a comprehensive quality management system (QMS) [RS1] based on the proven ISO 9001:2015 standard. Our QM system also includes a concept that guarantees optimum product safety on the basis of international HACCP guidelines. An important focus of this concept is the BarthHaas test guarantee [RS3], which is unique in the hop industry to date.
